An amazing casual experience the encourages the average person to enjoy food prepared by absolute masters in their craft. Ken was a delight and the staff alongside him took amazing care of me and my partner. On top of the food being some of the best in the city, Tsumo should be on everyone’s list as a must go whenever they are in the city.

As many said about this place, it's nothing special, but everything is nice and good quality. And considering the price? Must try :)

I have been contradicting myself as of our late travels. We should be immersed in the local cuisine, but I can't let go of this irresistible omakase offering. We tried to get a dinner reservation as early as last month but to no avail. Good thing we were able to score a lunch reservation and it was all worth it. Impeccable sushi chefs, the freshest ingredients, and the service were all on point. Planning another one on our next trip to NY.

This omakase was 10/10. ALL pieces were amazing, the vibes were great, and everything was very fresh. Every piece had a totally different flavor and texture. Our sushi chef, David, was also amazing and very kind. Will definitely be returning.

Our omakase experience was amazing! The fish was so fresh and tasty, we enjoyed every piece. The quality for the price is almost unbelievable. Service was incredible, and it didn’t feel too rushed like some other omakase I have had before. The space is really special - although it can fit a large number of people, it still felt special and intimate, but also casual and approachable. What a great experience, will definitely be back!

This is a perfect place for people who want to experience Omakase at an affordable price. Only $58 (dinner) for 14 pieces. You can always order more after the course is completed. The O Toro (tuna fin) and Unagi (eel) were my favorites and highlights for me!!! I also got the Wagyu beef and it just melted in my mouth like butter!!!

Found this restaurant from viral and it’s a hidden gem indeed! I’ve been looking for a budget omakase restaurant and decided to come here. Everything was beyond my expectation???? Fish was fresh and tastes so goooood! I would recommend this place. Affordable price. I will come back here if I have a trip to NYC. The only thing that I don’t like is I think it’s too dark inside the room and it’s hard for me to take a good food photo but it’s not a big deal! Still love them though!

Thought it was a great experience! Came for the price point and was a little skeptical that I would need to buy more food after, but found the portions generous and delicious Want to note that the ikura/salmon roe egg one was one of the best I've had in awhile! Would encourage anyone eyeing this place to come at least for that But of course, found the location and the place itself to be a bit crowded with just one bathroom. I guess everyone is onto this for the price as well. Would recommend this more as a casual outing rather than anything formal/celebratory - there are better omakases for that. Chef was talented but curt and clearly trying to move things along / serving a couple other parties - if you don't mind and want something more so to the point this is your spot

Food (5/5): - Hits for me were the Hokkaido uni, scallop, otoro, chutoro, and yellowtail - Overall, really satisfied with my meal and found it very filling Service (5/5): - Servers were attentive and refilled my water and cleaned my table regularly - Chef was very kind and made sure not to interrupt us Ambiance (5/5): - A bit on the louder side - I was dressed pretty casually but some folks came dressed pretty nicely (there isn't a dress policy or anything like that though) Would come again!

My partner and I had omakase dinner at Tsumo on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation in advance on Resy. For the price of $58, it is a good deal. I wouldn't say it was the most lavish experience but I was happy at the end. The quality of fish was not bad but I was underwhelmed by the selection of fish. You won't get any uni or toro but you will get mostly standard sushi pieces. The service was really good and the sushi chef was very nice. This is a decent spot for an affordable and quick omakase if you are in the city.
